About this project
The exterior of a 1930s villa in Kralingen, taken from the garden at the moment the sun was on the facade. The yellow brick, the roof tiles and the woodwork pick up colour, and the red maple in the top left adds depth without stealing attention.
With detached houses the facade shot is often the first thing anyone sees. We keep the vertical lines straight and look for a position where the house, the garden and the terrace come together in one frame. The viewer then understands the plot straight away.
