For Vechtdal Meubels we photographed a dining table with a sculptural base, in an interior that suits the piece rather than competing with it. The wall lights and the candles on the table are on, so the wood gains warmth and the shape of the base stays readable.

Furniture photography in a real home works differently from a studio. The scale is immediate: how high the table sits, how much room the chairs need, how the whole thing relates to an ordinary room. For a web shop or catalogue that says more than a pack shot on white.
