Studio Renders B.V. is responsible for the processing of personal data as set out in this privacy statement. In it, we explain, among other things, why we collect and use personal data, what data this concerns and what rights you have when we process your personal data.
Personal data we process
Studio Renders B.V. processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide this data to us yourself. Below you will find an overview of the personal data we process:

Purpose of processing data
Studio Renders B.V. processes your personal data for the following purposes, with the legal basis under Article 6 of the GDPR for each purpose:
- Handling your payment (basis: performance of the contract, Art. 6(1)(b));
- Calling or emailing you in order to carry out our services (basis: performance of the contract, (b));
- Delivering goods and services to you (basis: performance of the contract, (b));
- Informing you about changes to our services and products (basis: legitimate interest, (f));
- Offering you the possibility to create an account (basis: performance of the contract, (b));
- Sending our newsletter (basis: consent, (a); for existing customers a legitimate interest, (f), always with the option to unsubscribe);
- Keeping financial and tax records (basis: legal obligation, (c)).
In order to analyse your behaviour on the website and thereby improve the website and tailor our offering to your preferences, we use analytical and marketing cookies. This takes place solely on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can change your choice at any time via our cookie policy.
Automated decision-making
Studio Renders B.V. does not make decisions based on automated processing on matters that may have (significant) consequences for individuals. This concerns decisions taken by computer programs or systems, without a human being (for example an employee of Studio Renders B.V.) involved. Studio Renders B.V. uses the following computer programs or systems:
- WeFact: for invoicing and financial administration
- Mailchimp: for online marketing activities such as newsletters
- Miro: for project management and sharing designs
How long we retain personal data
Studio Renders B.V. does not retain your personal data longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. We apply the following retention periods for personal data:
- Project administration and visual material (company archive and portfolio): a maximum of 10 years, with periodic reassessment of whether retention is still necessary;
- Financial administration: 7 years (statutory tax retention obligation, Art. 52 AWR);
- Contact details of prospects and newsletter subscriptions: up to 2 years after the last contact, or until you unsubscribe;
- Website behaviour via analytical cookies: in accordance with the lifespan of the cookies, generally a maximum of 13 months.
Sharing personal data with third parties
Studio Renders B.V. shares your personal data with third parties if this is necessary for the performance of the contract and to comply with any legal obligation. With companies that process your data on our behalf, we conclude a data processing agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Studio Renders B.V. remains responsible for these processing activities. In addition, Studio Renders B.V. provides your personal data to other third parties. We only do this with your explicit consent.
- WeFact (the Netherlands): invoicing and financial administration;
- Mailchimp / Intuit (United States): name and email address for sending newsletters. The transfer to the US takes place on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or the standard contractual clauses (SCC’s) of the European Commission (Art. 46 GDPR);
- Miro (United States): project-related data and designs that you share with us. The transfer to the US takes place on the basis of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or the standard contractual clauses (SCC’s) of the European Commission (Art. 46 GDPR);
- Hostinger (web hosting, EU): technical storage of the website and the data submitted on it.
Cookies and similar techniques
Studio Renders B.V. uses cookies and similar techniques. A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone when you visit this website. Necessary (functional) cookies ensure that the website works properly and remember, for example, your cookie preferences; we always place these. Analytical and marketing cookies we place only after you have given your consent for them via our cookie banner, and you can change that choice at any time. In our cookie policy you will find an overview of the cookies we use, with the name, provider, purpose and retention period for each cookie.
You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw any consent you have given for the data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by Studio Renders B.V., and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold about you in a computer file to you or to another organisation named by you.
You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data, or a request to withdraw your consent or to object to the processing of your personal data, to info@studiorenders.nl.
To be certain that the request for access was made by you, we ask you to enclose a copy of your identity document with the request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but within four weeks.
How we secure personal data
Studio Renders B.V. takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised alteration. If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of misuse, please contact us at contact@studiorenders.nl.
Filing a complaint with the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch Data Protection Authority)
Naturally, we are happy to help you if you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data. Under privacy legislation, you have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch supervisory authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
