A kitchen in Veldhoven, in an extension with a large skylight and glazing onto the garden. The frame is upright rather than wide, because height is the story here: the clusters of pendants, the skylight and the void need room above the worktop.

The blue vase of flowers is the only strong accent in an otherwise sand coloured room, and we deliberately left it there. It gives the eye somewhere to rest and makes the kitchen look lived in rather than styled.
