The new Brouwerij ‘t IJ building, seen from across the street. The ostrich on the end gable and the lettering above the entrance are modelled in, because those two make it clear at a glance whose building this is.

The relationship to the surroundings is the subject here. The volume sits between existing trees and ordinary street traffic, with cars, cyclists and people on the pavement. In a planning application an image like this works differently from a bare elevation: it shows how the building behaves in the street.
